Launched on December 1, 2009 – AllTrails is a member driven outdoor enthusiast community that at launch gives outdoors enthusiasts unlimited access to more than 40,000 trails covering 22 different activities. The AllTrails community generously takes the time to share trails, reviews, photos, and more. To help members get outdoors and meet other people in their local area the site also aggregates local outdoors events in the AllTrails Events section.

AllTrails heavily leverages social media to engage it’s members and help connect outdoor enthusiasts. From leveraging Facebook Connect & Twitter OAuth to allow user to register and share content via their existing social networks to it’s Facebook Page, LinkedIn Groups, to 1,000s of followers on Twitter, we have been able to effectively reach and engage outdoor enthusiasts.
